LEICHT’s Journey Towards Modern Kitchen Design

LEICHT, a premium kitchen manufacturer in Waldstetten, Germany, with a legacy dating back to 1928.

With around 750 employees and a global network of over 1,000 partners across more than 55 countries, LEICHT has grown into one of the most respected names in the kitchen manufacturing industry.

Known for designs that blend seamlessly with modern living, LEICHT creates kitchens that connect cooking, living, and entertaining in one cohesive experience.

However, the journey was not without challenges. LEICHT encountered several hurdles in managing its growing brand assets and ensuring a seamless experience.

The challenge:

Manual Content Distribution

LEICHT relied on a time-consuming, manual process to get brand content into the right hands. Before each collection launch, the team would compile a package that included product images, PDF price lists, and forms, then upload it to Dropbox.

Sales representatives accessed the materials and often created their own share links to forward to dealers or resellers.

This fragmented setup was a major challenge. Once files were shared, there was no reliable way to control access or track usage, leading to outdated or off-brand content in the market.

Without a single, controlled source of truth, brand compliance and consistent customer experience were impossible to guarantee.

No Scalable Way to Share Content

LEICHT wanted to enable self-service access for its external partners to brand materials, but their existing setup made that difficult.

Every content request, whether it was a product image, a price list, or marketing material, had to be handled manually by internal teams.

This created delays for partners who needed quick access and added an unnecessary workload for marketing, customer service, and sales.

As demand grew, the volume of requests became unmanageable. Customer service and sales both flagged the strain it was putting on their daily operations.

With access limited to only a select group of partners, LEICHT could not efficiently reach a wider audience.

The process not only slowed down time-to-market but also made it clear that their content distribution model could not support the company’s growth ambitions.

Lack of Visibility and Tracking

LEICHT had no way to monitor how their assets were being used once they were shared. They couldn’t see who accessed content, how often it was viewed, or which materials were actually being used by partners.

This lack of visibility made it nearly impossible to gauge the effectiveness of their content or understand partner engagement.

Without these insights, decision-making became reactive rather than strategic. Teams could not identify which assets were driving results.

It also increased the risk of inconsistencies and reduced the ability to enforce brand compliance, leaving content management feeling like operating in the dark.

The Solution:

Identifying the Need for a Scalable Solution

LEICHT had outgrown its manual content distribution process and needed a smarter solution fast. Sharing brand assets by email, phone, or temporary share links was slow and prone to potential errors, creating extra work for the teams managing every request.

The system simply could not keep up with growing demand, and it became clear that a more scalable approach was essential.

A centralized, automated platform would allow content to be delivered quickly, accurately, and consistently to both internal teams and external partners.

This not only reduces the workload but also ensures brand-compliant materials are always accessible, laying the foundation for a more efficient and reliable content management process.

Finding the Right Solution

LEICHT needed a better way to share brand-compliant content, one that did not rely on manual processes or overload internal teams. The goal was to deliver content faster, more accurately, and fully aligned with their corporate identity.

They began exploring solutions through personal recommendations and industry contacts, focusing on platforms with proven results in real-world settings.

Developing an in-house system that integrated with Agravity DAM was also considered, but high internal demand and limited resources made it clear that building their own platform was not feasible in the short term.

Ultimately, Smint.io’s Brand Portal emerged as the solution. Smint.io offers a purpose-built, scalable platform that streamlines workflows, ensures brand compliance, and provides a reliable system for both internal teams and external partners.

Why Smint.io Was the Clear Choice

During LEICHT’s six-month evaluation process, Smint.io quickly emerged as the standout choice. Its intuitive interface and strong focus on brand-compliant content delivery addressed the exact challenges LEICHT was facing.

The platform’s seamless integration with their existing Agravity DAM, enabled by a custom-built connector, eliminated the need for complex internal developments. This meant content could be shared efficiently, accurately, and consistently.

Smint.io’s Brand Portal provides a scalable, reliable system that streamlines workflows, reduces errors, and ensures brand compliance across every asset, transforming content management into a smoother, more controlled process.

Time Savings and Efficiency Gains

With the Brand Portal, LEICHT’s marketing and sales teams eliminated repetitive tasks like file transfers and manual content distribution. It not only saved significant time but also improved the accuracy and quality of content delivery.

This shift allowed teams to redirect their focus from administrative tasks to strategic projects and campaigns, increasing overall productivity and impact.
